Our Blue Sage CBD Oil is made with organic whole-plant hemp extract. Our CBD is processed using a state of the art “Flash Extraction” process. There are no solvents of any kind. This process retains all beneficial compounds (terpenes, flavonoids and other cannabinoids).
The raw flower contains CBDa and must be activated to convert it to CBD. Activation (or decarboxylation) makes the compound usable by the endocannabinoid system. In other processes, this is done by exposing it to heat for several hours. This can damage fragile compounds, reducing efficacy, and imparting unpleasant flavors.
Flash Extraction means that the extract is treated gently, preserving beneficial compounds and producing a naturally delicious sweet, toasted, nutty flavor.
Our CBD is lab-tested by a third party to ensure quality and consistency. Our lab tests show an abundance of minor cannabinoids present in our extractions. Besides CBD the most visible are:
CBG: CBG, also known as Cannabigerol, is the mother cannabinoid to CBD & THC as well as all the other cannabinoids found in the hemp plant! According to recent studies, there are many promising benefits to CBG that include support with inflammation, digestive & bladder disorders, neuroprotective properties and more.
CBC: CBC, also known as cannabichromene, is a minor phytocannabinoid. Early studies suggest CBC works best in conjunction with other cannabinoids (that entourage effect!) and binds with other (non-cannabinoid) receptors in the body that are linked to pain perception. When CBC activates these receptors increased levels of the body’s endocannabinoids, like anandamide, are released.
CBN: CBN, also known as cannabinol, comes from the oxidation and decomposition of THC. When combined with other cannabinoids it can have a soothing and relaxing effect.
Our extracts are sourced from trusted farm partners and processors in the US. Our farming partners grow hemp (cannabis sativa) that are bred specifically for high terpene and cannabinoid contents and are always licensed and pesticide-free.
3rd party Michigan certified ISO labs. Hemp is tested before it is extracted, after extraction and then individual batch product testing to ensure consistency and potency. All of our products are analyzed by third-party laboratories for cannabinoid potency.
